When you are lucky enough to score some Bartcao taco coins, you must use them! With that I ended up at Bartaco’s Inman Park location. Inspired by the beach culture and the outdoor lifestyle, Bartaco serves upscale street food with a coastal vibe in a relaxed and stylish environment. The Inman Park location features an open air patio that opens on to Highland Avenue, and the hustle and bustle of Atlanta’s Inman Park area.

The staff is very friendly, and even made time to get my name and ask my plans for the day. Bartaco is inspired by the beach culture of Brazil, Punta del Este and Buzios, Uruguay and southern California. Also defined by fresh food, great cocktails, and a fun aura, Bartaco is an informal space where guests can easily be transported to a beach mentality. The menu is rooted in Mexican tradition but, like the cross-cultural street food of South America, offers a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from Asia, the Mediterranean, and beyond.

The cuisine pulls from a broad palate of bold, spicy flavors from Asia, the Mediterranean and beyond. Bartaco’s beverage menu is impressive, using freshly-squeezed juice in all of the unique cocktails, a selection of over 25 tequilas, and imported beers. State of the art juicers at the bar ensure freshly-squeezed juice in all of the cocktails.  The house Bartaco Margarita is deliciously refreshing, and is made with Maestro Dobel Diamante, combier liqueur d’orange,  agave syrup, and fresh lime juice. There’s also the usual suspects such as margaritas, mojitos, and caipirinhas. The baja fish taco has spicy tempura-battered cod with a refreshing chipotle slaw. The Portobello taco with queso fresco was my favorite. It features roasted Portobello mushrooms with poblano peppers and topped with garlic. A must try!

Thanks to my three lucky taco coins, I was fortunate enough to be charmed by Bartcao. The open-air and inviting atmosphere, spacious dining area, minimalistic décor, a state-of the-art sound system, the southern hospitality of the staff, stylish ambience, delicious food and cocktails create an unforgettable experience reminiscent of a rustic beach resort all while enjoying the vibe one of Atlanta’s rising neighborhoods.
